Dr Douglas Savino is amazing. He cares. More importantly he is very experienced and an awesome doctor with great sense of humor. He handles infants exellently. The staffs were great too. I have premature twins and i am very happy with the visits. I strongly recommends Dr Savino if you are visiting boynton east.

Dr. Savino is always courteous and straight to the point. My son has been seeing him ever since we first encountered Dr. Savino. I recommend him to any parent I know. His level of care is above and beyond. You can tell how much he cares about his patients. As the parent to a child who gets sick often, Dr. Savino helps to make it easy breezy.

I want to share my experience with Dr. Douglas Savino at Pediatric Associates Boynton Beach East as a parent of a child with ASD. Before the appointment, I specifically called the clinic and explained that my son has ASD and that I needed a pediatrician who understands how to work with children with developmental and communication differences. I also explained that we needed a referral for an ADOS evaluation. During the appointment, Dr. Savino told me he had never heard of the ADOS test. He then walked into the hallway and loudly asked other staff something along the lines of: “I have an autistic kid here who needs an ADOS test. Does anyone know this test?” Hearing my child’s diagnosis announced publicly in the hallway was deeply upsetting and unprofessional, especially as a parent still emotionally processing a recent ASD diagnosis. The exam itself felt very cold and superficial. My son became slightly upset during the visit, and instead of trying to calmly connect with him, the doctor repeatedly told him: “You’re a big boy. Big boys don’t cry.” My child is not English-speaking and has communication and sensory differences, which had already been explained before the appointment. I left the appointment in tears. I respect Dr. Savino’s medical experience, but I cannot recommend him for families with children with ASD or developmental differences. In my experience, there was very little understanding, sensitivity, or effort to connect with my child. 2 stars just because I got my referral but it was 1 star visit.

Thank God for Katherine. She is a phenomenal staff member. She makes great decisions when it comes to assisting patients. She made my son and I happy, we came from a long day of hard work and she ended it by assisting us with our appointment and setting it the correct way. We are appreciative for employees such as her! Thank you Katherine !!!!

We've been with pediactric associates since 2018. I must say the boynton east office has been lacking in regards to keeping their appointments. My daughter had a well visit today, which was an appointment that we didnt make but was scheduled for us from her last appointment last month. We kept it since we were able to make it. Well, we arrived early, did the pre-check in only to be told that the doctor that was scheduled for us no longer works there. Was told there are no more available appointments today and rescheduled us for next week. We got the text reminder that she had an appointment today, but nothing regarding that she doesnt anymore. We wasted our time driving there to be told "sorry". Very unhappy with this experience as everyone's time is valuable and doesnt seem to be an issue for them to waste our time when its as simple as sending a message to reschedule. We will be looking for a new provider.
