Today was my first time visiting this dog rescue/adoption place and I honestly loved the experience. The staff was kind, patient, and really cared about matching the right dog with the right person instead of just trying to “give dogs away.” I interacted with a few dogs and you can really feel their personalities. Some are playful and energetic, others calm and observant. One big dog completely surprised me with how strong and full of energy he was 😂 but also very loving and affectionate. I also appreciated how they explain the adoption process, vaccines, treatments, chips, and the responsibilities of owning a dog. You can tell the animals are being cared for while waiting for a home. Sadly, one of the dogs I was interested in had already been adopted, but honestly that also made me happy because it means these babies are finding families ❤️ I learned that they also accept donations like towels, blankets, toys, and supplies, which is wonderful for people who want to help even if they cannot adopt right now. The dogs look at you in a way that stays in your heart. I will definitely come back again.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Back in November, I got my sweet Nemo from here. From start to finish, everyone at the rescue was incredibly kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to help the adoption process. You can tell how much they genuinely care about every single dog there. The facility is clean, well-run, and filled with so many wonderful dogs and caring staff/volunteers. I recommend Big Dog Ranch Rescue to absolutely anyone looking to add a new member to their family. They are an amazing organization doing incredible work. I’m so grateful for them!

⭐ 5 Stars – Forever Grateful to BDRR A huge thank you to BDRR (Big Dog Ranch Rescue) in Loxahatchee, FL and an extra special shout-out to Kara, the Foster Care Coordinator. Kara truly cares—deeply—about both the dogs and the families who adopt them. Her compassion, patience, and dedication made all the difference for us. Kara went above and beyond, even helping coordinate with Ingrid to schedule a training session with Jon. We picked up some incredibly valuable tips from Jon—thank you as well! The entire team works together seamlessly, and it really shows. We absolutely love our sweet boy, Milo. As a rescue coming from a mill out of state, he arrived very shy and timid. Kara prepared us honestly and compassionately, explaining that it could take about three months for his personality and trust to truly come through. After arriving at BDRR, Milo also spent several months in foster care, which was yet another transition for this gentle soul. Every single day, Milo opens up more and more. He’s now our guard of the house, protector of the realm, and loving companion. Watching him grow into himself has been incredibly rewarding. This was not our first experience with BDRR. We previously adopted Tracker from the old location about 8 years ago, and later Charlie during the pandemic. They became brothers and beloved family members. Sadly, both passed away around December 2024, making it a long and difficult year for our family. Because of the love we shared with them, we knew we wanted to rescue again—and there was no question we would return to BDRR. We visited 3–4 times, never rushing, waiting for the right soul to find us. We actually discovered Milo through the BDRR website dog database, as he wasn’t at the physical location because he had been in foster care for a few months. In the photos, he looked about 35 pounds… so we were quite surprised (and amused!) when we met him and realized he was closer to 12 pounds 😂 Thanks to Kara, we arranged a meet-and-greet, and the connection with our family was instant. The facility, the people, and the mission of BDRR are truly wonderful. We highly recommend Big Dog Ranch Rescue to anyone looking to rescue and adopt a new family member. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you to the entire BDRR family ❤️

Haley helped us with our adoption process. I must say how amazing she was. The staff were all great. In the medical building the care that is put in to all the dogs is just incredible. Honestly this facility is like the Disney of dogs. We brought home our little Pekingese named Molly (Minnie was her name). She was so shy and quiet but loveable. She has started really showing her sweet personality and cuteness overload after just a week. Thank you BDRR for everything you do for the pups and fur parents alike.

I got my little girl from this shelter. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’ve had her for 8 years now. She is 10. They trained her so well and gave her such beautiful manners. I’ll always come back here for my dogs. I love you guys. Heaven sent.
