Very impressive! Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was excellent! We haven't had such a great restaurant experience in a long time. Our food came out hot, presentation was elegant and tasted delicious. The pepper steak swordfish was inspired and the trout almondine on par with a restaurant in Paris! Added to all that, our waiter Nemanja's complete knowledge of the menu and his attentiveness made our experience even better. The chef and kitchen should be complemented on their efficiency! Can't wait to go back!
Multiple visits here to have an amazing meal. Never disappoints. My dirty martini was fantastic. Our appetizer was out of this work. Steams clams, mussels and shrimp soooo good and fresh. To our perfect fully cooked ribeye. Followed by an espresso martini. The general manager Lona is amazing. And chef Desi brings a warm welcome and laughter. Plus that seafood dish he made us was perfection. A must visit. I'll be back for the swordfish 🩶
I hardly ever give bad reviews, but this experience truly warrants one. We used to come here often, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The food wasn’t as good as it used to be, and the service—or lack of it—was the biggest issue. We sat at the bar to eat and were completely ignored. No one checked on our food, refilled our water, or acknowledged us. We had a very hard time getting any attention at all. What made it worse was seeing the bartender actively engaging and providing service to other customers while we were overlooked. The lemon sole Parisienne ($33) was overly buttered, and both the side vegetables and the rice pilaf were bland and unmemorable. I don’t know the reason for the lack of service, but it made us feel very unwelcome. If it wasn’t for the nice singer, we walked out. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be returning.
City Fish Market in Boca Raton delivers a refined, nautical-themed dining experience, celebrated for its exceptionally fresh seafood, polished service, and upscale atmosphere. The restaurant offers a vibrant happy hour and live music on select evenings, making it a standout destination for both casual nights out and special occasions. This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants in Boca.
This past Valentine’s Day 2026. I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at this restaurant. Please note, my partner and I had been here three times prior to this night over the past two years and enjoyed ourselves each time. First let me say, the restaurant looked beautiful as always. I made 8:30 PM reservations under my full name. We arrived at 7:50. I understand that nothing was available early on such a busy night- but the ladies up front said they had absolutely no reservation at all. They ultimately found it under my “first”name even though they also called me the day before to confirm under my full name. At 8:45, they finally called us under my LAST name. I had no idea they were talking about us- because of their statements prior. Anyway- we get to our table- which is wobbly and has no table lamp. BUT- we stuck with it and asked for a lamp as it had now been an hour since we got there. Our waitress came over and immediately asked about drinks. No introduction. We placed our drink order and she came back with bread. We were then ready to place our dinner order after already seeing the menu. She asked, “what- no appetizers?”. Mind you- she still had not even told us her name or the specials for the evening. We were also starving at this point after not having eaten all day. 15 minutes pass and no food. The waitress comes to our table, looks down and says, “they haven’t bought anything out?”. I answered, “Do you see any food?” She goes away and another 10 minutes pass before the food comes out. I ordered Lemon Sole with extra capers, rice and vegetable melody and my partner had Salmon something. My food had no extra capers, my rice pilaf was crunchy on the edges, and the cauliflower tasted barely cooked. But we were so hungry after not eating all day we just ate what we could. Please note that the waitress also had not returned to check on us even once, or to even confirm that the food came out, or if everything was okay. After our plates had been cleared, the waitress FINALLY returned. When she did, I calmly advised that I was not pleased with her service. I also shared how even to that point, we still did not know her name (Linette?), as well as all the aforementioned. She apologized profusely and stated that they had over a thousand reservations that night and had her covering tables on both sides of the restaurant. I told here that all that is fine. However, that had nothing to do with her inattentiveness or the fact that knowing how busy the evening was- and how backed up the kitchen was- SHE did not offer free appetizers or SOMETHING to compensate for the restaurant’s inability to effectively serve ALL their guest. She then offered us free desserts which we accepted but only my partner ate. I understand it was busy- but I feel that given the demographic of south Florida- this establishment selectively (whether consciously or not) decided who they would provide good service to that evening. I am hoping that this was just a one-off as this was our only experience like this.
