The dicker and all the ladies there are very nice, very polite, and ready to help with any questions you may have. Doctor Brent Bellotte is a real gentleman, and besides that, he made my eyes able to see everything clear and very nice. I just wanted to say thank you for your excellent work dr Bellotte, and thank you to everyone at the West Boca eye center. I am one very happy patient.

Amazing doctor with a truly wonderful team. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome with their warm and friendly attitude. The doctor is extremely thorough and takes the time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciated that they were able to perform a small procedure in the office the same day, which made the whole experience so convenient. The level of care and accommodation was excellent. Highly recommend this practice! 😊

My glasses were giving me headaches and my eyesight blurry while wearing them. Time for an eye exam. This office and Doctor is different. Yes they have the old school phoropter but it’s new and calibrated. That’s so important. It’s not crammed in the back of a store front optical shop in a dusty room. This office has the most modern equipment that causes zero discomfort. They check beyond the lens, in just a few minutes they have images of every part of your eye. The Dr’s are talented and caring. The staff is very proficient and use the technology throughout the office with expertise. I love that ! Dr Brent Bellott is the best !! Thank you for a great experience and my new prescription 🙂

I visited this medical practice for cataract treatment and had mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the office was clean, the technicians were courteous, and scheduling was straightforward. I also appreciated that the physician was knowledgeable and confident in his recommendations, which gave me some reassurance about the quality of care. However, I was disappointed with how lens options were presented. The emphasis was placed entirely on premium Toric lenses, which would have required a significant out-of-pocket expense. The variety of different types of IOLs was not discussed, and I was not informed of possible side effects associated with the premium lenses being recommended. I later learned that standard lenses, covered by insurance, were also available, but this was not clearly explained to me at the time. As a patient, I believe it is essential to receive full disclosure of all treatment alternatives, including financial implications, so that informed consent can truly be achieved. In my case, I felt pressured toward a costly option to the point of considering a loan of over $10,000 to pay for these lenses, even though I had expressed that I was comfortable wearing glasses. This was especially concerning since I would still need reading glasses, a fact that was not adequately explained. This raised concerns for me about transparency and whether patient autonomy was respected. While I understand that physicians may recommend what they believe is the best clinical outcome, patients should not be denied the opportunity to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of all alternatives. Full disclosure allows patients to make decisions that align with both their medical needs and their financial circumstances. Healthcare should prioritize the patient’s best interests, and I hope this practice will improve communication about available choices so others can feel confident in their care. I believe with more balanced discussions of treatment options; this practice could provide the high-quality care that patients expect and deserve. I cannot personally recommend this practice based on my experience, but I share my perspective so that prospective patients can make fully informed decisions before proceeding with treatment. Medicine risks crossing an important ethical line when communication is incomplete or misleading from the patient’s point of view. I prefer that this review stand on its own without a response from the practice. In my view, further replies would not change the concerns I’ve already outlined, as there were opportunities to discuss these issues directly with me through conversing and they were not addressed. The quality of the relationship between a patient and provider is the most important predictor of a successful outcome. My intention here is simply to share my experience so that potential patients can make informed decisions and choose an eye surgeon who better fits their needs before committing to this practice. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and encourages greater transparency and communication in the future.

I was taken back quickly and given all the vision tests. There was a bit of a wait before the doctor came in but he was friendly and answered all my questions which I imagine he does with everyone. The entire team at West Boca Eye center has been wonderful!
